The view of the Venetian houses and the high peaks of the Lefka Ori mountains in the background gives Chania a special charm, while the beauty of Chania is also underlined by the picturesque narrow streets in the city center.
Maleme is a quiet resort that has not yet become a tourist resort in the true sense of the word. So the beaches here are calm and we don’t have to worry about overcrowded beaches. If you want to experience the right tourism or an interesting nightlife, you will have to go from Maleme to one of the nearby resorts. Platanias, for example, is a very busy center rich in social life, which is only 10-15 minutes away from Maleme by regular bus connection.
